The Most Serious Enviromental Problem In Malaysia

The most critical environmental problem in Malaysia is water pollution. This is because rivers, lakes and seas in Malaysia are severely polluted due to industrial waste disposal, oil spill and ship pollution. For an example, the water of the Malacca straits is largely polluted due to oil spill incidents and this results in a sharp decrease in the population of marine organisms. This is because the marine organisms are consuming water or food that is badly contaminated and this causes them to be poisoned. Besides that, the water quality in Malaysia has greatly deteriorated due to water pollution for instance, industrial waste disposal. As a result, consumers are affected by waterborne diseases such as diarrhea. In a nutshell, water pollution is an environmental problem which has to be taken seriously as water is the most important element for us to survive.

I agree with you. Marine organisms are the base of oceanic food chain. Their decrease will bring fatal catastrophe to the global ecosystem.

Sure it will. As cheeseng mentioned before in benjamin blog, over 90% of oxygen in atmosphere come from photosynthesis of alga. What troubles us is when all of the alga die and we will face the insufficiency of the oxygen. Maybe we will need to pay for fresh air. What a terrible scene to imagine. Everything in the world is connected, we couldn't ignored any of them. Save our world!

China also faces a series big environmental problems. I guess every nation in the world does. Hopefully, huamn can figure it out.
